Candour Talent are recruiting a Furnace Manager to join their client’s team in Ebbw Vale.

  • Employment Type: Full Time/Permanent
  • Working Hours: Mon-Fri - Days
  • Salary: £50k

Our client is a well-established industrial site and is looking for a Furnace Manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will oversee the operational performance over multiple shifts, be key in driving process improvements, and be an integral part of the leadership team. This role would suit a forward-thinking and hands-on people leader with experience in a similar role in heavy industry or similar.

The Role:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of high-capacity furnaces across multiple shifts
  • Ensure output and performance targets are met, and monitor performance to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity
  • Lead and motivate an established team of operators and team leaders
  • Manage workforce allocation
  • Work with the wider team on projects and drive process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience managing industrial furnaces or similar
  • Proven leadership skills, ideally in a multi-shift industrial environment
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, ensure information is passed on accurately
  • Excellent understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
