Candour Talent are recruiting a Production Operator to join their client’s team in the Cardiff area.

  • Employment Type: Full Time/Permanent
  • Working Hours: 40 hours, 3-shift pattern (mornings, afternoons, nights)
  • Salary: £14.16-£15/hr
  • Benefits: Discretionary bonus, 24+8 days holiday, life assurance, enhanced pension scheme

Excellent opportunity for a reliable Production Operator to join our client’s team on the outskirts of Cardiff. The successful candidate will be part of the manufacturing process for a range of metal wall and roof systems, completing work to the expected high standard, based on customer specification, whilst also adhering to all Health and Safety policies. Full training is given, but previous experience in manufacturing and/or heavy industry is an advantage.

The Role:

  • Complete all orders to Company standards as per specified Job Cards and Quality documents
  • Complete quality checks and adhere to quality documentation, ensuring every production run is of the highest quality
  • Always comply with health and safety procedures, ensure correct PPE is worn, and follow manual handling processes
  • Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Work efficiently to keep scrap and waste at a minimum
  • Work as part of the continual process production team, where speed, accuracy, and awareness are vital

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous manufacturing experience, preferably within construction, heavy industry and/or on a continuous production process
  • Fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Positive and enthusiastic work ethic
  • Team player
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic IT and numeracy skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
