Candour Talent are recruiting a Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver to join their client’s team in the Cardiff area.

  • Employment Type: Full Time/Permanent
  • Working Hours: 40 hours, 3-shift pattern (mornings, afternoons, nights)
  • Salary: £16.50/hr
  • Benefits: Discretionary bonus, 24+8 days holiday, life assurance, enhanced pension scheme

The successful candidate will ensure that all products are moved around the client’s sites safely and efficiently, as per instructions from the Transport Planning Team. This role comes with yearly pay rises in line with inflation, as well as opportunities for progression and development.

The Role:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods around and between sites
  • Secure loads on both Flatbed and Curtain Sided Vehicles
  • Complete daily vehicle checks
  • Complete all tasks as instructed by the Transport Planner
  • Comply with all H&S procedures and compliance requirements
  • Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures
  • Participate in training as required

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • HGV Class 1 Driving License with no endorsements
  • Drivers CPC
  • Digital Drivers Card
  • Able to follow instructions, and to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • RTITB Forklift Training Certification (desirable)
  • CSCS card (desirable)
