Candour Talent are currently recruiting for a Tool Setter (Plastic Injection Moulding) to join our client based in Blackwood.

  • Location: Blackwood
  • Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time
  • Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 7.30 to 5pm with some flexibility, when required
  • Salary: £36-38k+ Negotiable DOE
  • Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, and free, onsite parking

An excellent opportunity for a skilled plastic injection mould condition setter with a driven and ambitious attitude to join a technical team in a busy and fast paced shop floor environment. Previous experience is essential and a practical demonstration of skills would be required during the interview process.

The Role:

  • Carry out mould tool changes as per daily schedule (averaging 5-8 tool changes per day)
  • Process and adapt conditions to produce quality approved components
  • Complete settings paperwork
  • Use of overhead gantry
  • Use of robots to include six axis robots
  • Responsible for Health and Safety procedures while setting the machines
  • Ensure and assist in always maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Handling of heavy and expensive tooling

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a tool setter role in a plastic injection moulding environment is essential
  • A good understanding of automation and process and technical trouble shooting
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and able to work efficiently as part of a team
