Candour Talent are currently recruiting for a Tool Setter (Plastic Injection Moulding) to join our client based in Blackwood.
- Location: Blackwood
- Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time
- Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 7.30 to 5pm with some flexibility, when required
- Salary: £36-38k+ Negotiable DOE
- Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, and free, onsite parking
An excellent opportunity for a skilled plastic injection mould condition setter with a driven and ambitious attitude to join a technical team in a busy and fast paced shop floor environment. Previous experience is essential and a practical demonstration of skills would be required during the interview process.
The Role:
- Carry out mould tool changes as per daily schedule (averaging 5-8 tool changes per day)
- Process and adapt conditions to produce quality approved components
- Complete settings paperwork
- Use of overhead gantry
- Use of robots to include six axis robots
- Responsible for Health and Safety procedures while setting the machines
- Ensure and assist in always maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Handling of heavy and expensive tooling
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a tool setter role in a plastic injection moulding environment is essential
- A good understanding of automation and process and technical trouble shooting
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and able to work efficiently as part of a team
