Senior Network & Infrastructure Consultant – remote
#TeamCandour are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Network & Infrastructure Consultant to join a thriving & multi-award winning consultancy & solutions provider to work on a remote basis.
This is a client facing consultancy position so as you\’d expect, occasional travel to client sites UK wide will form part of your responsibilities and as you\’d expect, our client will be focused on applicants from this kind of background rather than internal support positions. The focus for this role is very much network design, plan and delivery.
You will need outstanding communication skills as you\’d expect from a client facing position as well as demonstrable presales experience.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Network & Infrastructure Consultant, you will:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise networking solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and security.
- Deploy and configure routing, switching, and firewall technologies across multiple vendor platforms.
- Deliver high-availability and disaster recovery network designs.
- Deliver hypervisor solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local) and associated virtual networking.
- Lead large-scale migrations and transformation projects.
- Collaborate with clients to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- Extensive hands-on experience in enterprise networking, server deployment, and storage solutions.
- A strong background in routing, switching, firewall, and wireless technologies across multiple vendors.
- Proven ability to design, document, and deliver complex network architectures.
- Client-facing consulting skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP & CCIE.
- The ability to manage multiple client engagements independently.
- Flexibility to travel to client sites when required.
- Eligibility for SC clearance (must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years).
Day-to-Day
Your typical day might include:
- Collaborating with clients to understand their unique IT challenges and objectives.
- Designing and implementing robust network infrastructure solutions tailored to client needs.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex networking issues.
- Leading project teams to deliver seamless migrations and transformations.
- Staying ahead of the curve by researching and adopting the latest technologies.
- Documenting and presenting solutions to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
