Job Description – Senior Infrastructure Consultant
What will you be doing?
- Design, implement, and support enterprise networking solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, security).
- Deploy and configure routing, switching, and firewall technologies across multiple vendor platforms.
- Deliver high-availability and disaster recovery network designs.
- Implement and manage server infrastructures across Windows and Unix environments.
- Deploy and support storage and backup solutions, including SAN and replication technologies.
- Deliver hypervisor solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local) and associated virtual networking.
- Lead large-scale infrastructure migrations and transformation projects.

What are we looking for?
The right person for this role will have strong experience in enterprise networking, security, and cloud (Azure/AWS). They will have deep experience in a consultancy setting and have led major infrastructure projects.
You will have relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP, Azure Architect), strong client-facing skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Extensive hands-on experience in enterprise networking, server deployment, and storage solutions.
- Strong background in routing, switching, firewall, and wireless technologies across multiple vendors.
- Proven ability to design, document, and deliver complex network and infrastructure architectures.
- Experience leading infrastructure projects, migrations, and transformation programmes.
- Client-facing consulting skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry certifications desirable (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements independently.
- Flexibility to travel to client sites when required.
Practical stuff
Where is the role based?
Primary location is our HQ in Pocklington (YO42) but this role can be remote with occasional visits to the HQ and to customers.
How many interviews?
Following a screen with the Recruitment Team you can expect a two-stage interview process, one online and one in-person.
What about security clearance?
The ability to get SC clearance will be required for this role meaning you will have needed to be living in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
