Oracle PL/SQL Developer & DBA

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer & Database Administrator (DBA) to join a growing Team in Sheffield. This role is integral in managing database performance, optimizing SQL and PL/SQL queries, and supporting application integration with Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in database development and administration, coupled with a collaborative approach to working with development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and debug Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code to support business applications.
  • Perform database administration tasks, including performance tuning, backups, and routine maintenance.
  • Collaborate with .NET development teams to ensure seamless integration of Oracle databases with .NET-based applications.
  • Ensure data models align with business requirements and system architecture.

Core Competencies

  • Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL , with proven experience in:
  • Query optimization.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Data modelling and schema design.
  • Hands-on experience with database administration (DBA), including:

  • General database health and maintenance.
