Lead Development Engineer (C#.NET Azure) – Remote – £85,000

We’re on the hunt for a Lead Development Engineer to architect and deliver cutting-edge and revolutionary products to support the huge growth plans of a highly reputable company.

This is your opportunity to take charge of a major digital transformation project, working with Azure Functions, Service Bus, C#, and event-driven architecture to shape the next generation of insurance technology. You’ll guide and inspire the engineering team, setting the standard with best practices and sharing your expertise to help everyone grow.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Architect and deliver a modern, scalable ratings engine on Azure.
  • Define technical strategy and drive best practices.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams.
  • Lead and mentor developers, fostering technical excellence.
  • Ensure performance, resilience, and scalability across the platform.

Experience we are looking for

  • Strong expertise in C#, .NET and Azure for cloud-native applications.
  • Experience using Service Bus, Event Grid, and Functions.
  • Strong CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps knowledge.
  • Agile mindset with proven leadership skills.
  • Experience with Blazor (front-end) is highly desirable
