Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimisation of SQL Server database solutions Develop and optimise complex T-SQL including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers Troubleshoot database performance issues, including query optimisation, blocking, and deadlocks Support database security, backups, recovery, and high availability solutions Work with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions Provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers Requirements 5 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server development Strong T-SQL skills and experience with SQL Server 2019 Experience designing relational databases and data models Background working with high-volume transactional databases Experience with ETL processes (SSIS or similar) Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning xiskglj and execution plans Experience with SQL Server Agent, backups, disaster recovery, and security Exposure to Azure SQL Database / Azure SQL Managed Instance is desirable Benefits Hybrid working opportunities with a flexible approach Company pension scheme Free on-site parking Competitive salary package Highly generous annual leave allowance Enhanced family leave policies Recognition schemes and long-service rewards
