Our client is a well-established client, looking for an additional member for their Accounts Team on a six month basis. The client is looking for an immediate start and someone who can commit for the whole six months.
Purpose of the job:
- To assist in the provision of an efficient and effective accounting service to the company as a whole;
- To post accounting transactions to the Client and Office ledgers in a prompt and accurate manner;
- To assist in the cashier function and with the overall work of the Accounts department, including controlling cash, making/receiving payment transactions, and undertaking other transactions as required.
- Contribute to the successful operation of the Accounts department.
Key results:
- Helping to manage and maintain accurate accounting records;
- Managing and inputting transactions to the accounting system, along with the daily production of cheques, banking arrangements, control of cash, and the accuracy of the ledgers, etc.
- Undertaking any other work of the department as may be requested.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Posting of accounting transactions to the Client account and Office account ledgers.
- Daily banking of receipts and posting same.
- Purchase Ledger - inputting and payment of all supplier invoices once relevant approval has been administered.
- Printing of cheques for all accounts.
- Processing sales invoices and credit notes.
- Assisting where necessary in the day to day system management of the accounts related computer systems, helping to ensure smooth operation, maximum availability to users, and the prompt dealing with problems.
- Performing any other duties as may be required within the Accounts Department from time to time.
- Liaison with the Accounts Manager in the first instance concerning any problems relating to the above activities.

Hours: Full-time but with some flexibility if necessary
Salary: Subject to experience but c. £20-21k (FTE)
