Job Description – Front Office Staff We are seeking a professional, customer-focused and organised Front Office Staff member to join a hotel business in Southampton.
The ideal candidate will have previous front office, reception or hospitality experience, with excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
The role will involve supporting guests throughout their stay and ensuring a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Handle guest enquiries, requests and complaints promptly.
- Manage telephone calls, emails and general reception enquiries.
- Process bookings, payments and guest information accurately.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance and other hotel departments.
- Maintain accurate reception records and daily reports.
- Assist guests with local information, directions and hotel services.
- Follow hotel policies, health & safety and customer service standards.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the front desk.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence is required.
