Job Description – Business Development Manager

We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join Cando Personnel Ltd in Gravesend.

The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships and drive revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have proven B2B sales, recruitment or business development experience, with excellent communication, negotiation and networking skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors.
  • Proactively contact prospective clients through telephone, email, networking, meetings, and other business development activities.

  • Arrange and conduct client meetings and presentations.

  • Manage the sales pipeline and maintain accurate records of business development activity.
  • Follow up on enquiries, proposals, and prospective opportunities.
  • Work closely with the recruitment and operations teams to ensure client requirements are successfully delivered.
  • Identify opportunities to increase business with existing clients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and potential new sectors.
  • Attend networking events, industry meetings, and client visits where appropriate.
  • Meet and exceed agreed sales, revenue, and new-client targets.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management regarding sales activity and pipeline development.
