Production Operator - Kenfig Hill Industrial Estate
The Production Operator supports the day-to-day running of the industrial laundry production floor. The role involves sorting, loading, processing, folding, packing, and preparing laundry to meet customer, quality, safety, and production standards.
This is a practical, physically active, on-site role in a busy industrial laundry environment. Full training will be provided, but applicants must be reliable, punctual, willing to learn, and able to commit to the required shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
Laundry Processing
- Sort laundry and textiles into the correct categories.
- Load and unload industrial washing machines, dryers, and production equipment.
- Fold, pack, stack, and prepare clean laundry for delivery.
- Follow instructions for different customer items, textile types, and production requirements.
- Handle laundry safely and carefully to avoid damage, contamination, or quality issues.
Quality and Accuracy
- Check items for quality, damage, staining, incorrect sorting, or other issues.
- Follow Company standards for folding, packing, presentation, and hygiene.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items through the correct process.
- Support the team in maintaining consistent production standards.
Productivity and Teamwork
- Work efficiently to support daily production targets.
- Move between production tasks as required by the Supervisor or Manager.
- Follow instructions and ask for help where needed.
- Maintain a positive, cooperative, and respectful approach at work.
Attendance, Timekeeping and Reliability
- Attend work on time and ready to start at the beginning of the shift.
- Follow the agreed rota or shift pattern.
- Notify the Company promptly and correctly if unable to attend work.
- Understand that reliability and attendance are key requirements of the role.
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Use machinery and equipment only as trained and instructed.
- Report hazards, near misses, accidents, equipment faults, or unsafe working practices promptly.
- Follow Company policies relating to conduct, hygiene, quality, and data protection.
