Candlelight Care are looking for a Live-In Care Coordinator to make a difference behind the scenes and help make exceptional care happen.
Temporary Maternity cover until July/August 2027
Full time - Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Salary - £25,818.24
Please note: For the right candidates, this role could be split into two part-time roles. Please let us know on your initial application whether you’d like full time or part time hours, as this will help us when shortlisting.
As a Live-In Care Co-ordinator, you’ll play a vital role in making sure our Live-In Care service runs smoothly, efficiently and, most importantly, delivers an excellent experience for both our clients and our self-employed live-in care workers. You’ll be at the heart of coordinating bookings — making sure our care workers know where they’re going, clients know who is arriving and everyone has the right information at the right time. It’s a role that requires excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of people.
You won’t be doing it alone. You’ll be part of a supportive Office Team, working together to find solutions, overcome challenges and ensure we continue to provide a high-quality, personalised service.
This is an office-based position, with around 80% of your time focused on rostering and associated administration, including telephone, online and paper-based tasks. The remaining time will be spent supporting the wider Live-In Care service and helping with the day-to-day administration needed to keep everything running smoothly.
You’ll also be part of the wider Office Team, responding to incoming calls and emails and providing support wherever needed to maintain our high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the allocation of clients and self-employed live-in care workers, ensuring bookings are arranged accurately and communicated clearly and promptly.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and care workers regarding their bookings, providing friendly, professional and responsive support.
- Keep our rostering system accurate and up to date, ensuring all client and care worker information and changes are recorded correctly.
- Build strong, positive relationships with care workers and clients, providing excellent customer service at every stage.
- Support the onboarding of new clients and care workers, ensuring systems and digital files are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Handle telephone calls and emails, helping to resolve queries and keep the service running smoothly.
- Coordinate and send PPE orders to clients and care workers as required.
- Send registration information to new self-employed live-in care workers wishing to register with Candlelight and process the associated documentation.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Office Team to solve problems, manage changes and ensure the best possible service for our clients.
- Represent and uphold Candlelight’s values of independence, choice, dignity and respect, always supporting our commitment to helping people remain safely and comfortably in their own homes for as long as possible.
What we're looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and naturally good with people — someone who can stay calm when things get busy, think on their feet and take pride in getting things right.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience within care, coordination or a similar role.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar systems.
- Experience using rostering or scheduling software is desirable.
- Flexibility, reliability and a proactive approach to your work.
- Honesty, integrity and a strong understanding of confidentiality.
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm and solution-focused when faced with challenges.
- A compassionate, professional and positive approach.
- A genuine willingness to work as part of a supportive team.
If you’re someone who enjoys being organised, solving problems and making a real difference to people’s experience of care, we’d love to hear from you.
