Candlelight Care are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to join our dedicated and friendly, family-run team, supporting vulnerable adults in the comfort of their own homes within Shepton Mallet and the surrounding areas. We currently have opportunities for both full and part-time Care and Support Workers. Our typical shift patterns run from 7am - 2pm and/or 4pm up to 10pm. We also ask for a commitment to working alternate weekends. Driving is not always essential depending on location.
Key Responsibilities of a Care Support Worker:
- Get to know your clients and their interests and needs.
- Give emotional and practical support.
- Assist with personal care (washing, toileting, dressing), domestic household tasks, and food preparation, all tailored to each individual's needs.
- Assist with medication, use of mobility aids and personal equipment where required.
- Report to the Registered Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client.

We are looking for individuals with an empathetic and understanding nature, a desire to help people, the ability to work well both on your own and with others, patience, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is preferred, although walking/cycling routes are available in some areas, please enquire.
