About the Role

Candlelight Care is looking for enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to join our friendly, family‑run team.

In this role, you’ll support vulnerable adults in the comfort of their own homes across Glastonbury, Somerset and the surrounding areas.

Every day is different in Health and Social Care.

You will get to know your clients, their interests and individual needs, and provide both emotional and practical support such as assisting with personal care (washing, toileting, dressing), domestic household tasks and meal preparation.

You’ll also support clients with medication, mobility aids and personal equipment where required, and have a responsibility to monitor overall well‑being and report to the Registered Manager any significant changes.

We encourage our clients to remain as independent as possible while ensuring their well‑being is always supported and safeguarded.

Qualifications

  • Kind, empathetic and genuinely motivated to help others.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Calm, patient and able to handle challenging situations.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle; walking or cycling routes may also be available in some areas. Please enquire about current availability.
  • Working Hours

Both full‑time and part‑time opportunities are available with typical shifts from 07:00‑14:00 and/or 16:00‑22:00. You may also be expected to work alternate weekends.
