About the Role
Candlelight Care is looking for enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to support vulnerable adults in the comfort of their own homes across Wimborne, Dorset, and surrounding areas. Every day is different in Health and Social Care; you will get to know your clients, their interests and individual needs. You will provide emotional and practical support, including personal care (washing, toileting, dressing), domestic household tasks, meal preparation, medication support, mobility aids, and personal equipment. You are responsible for monitoring overall wellbeing and reporting significant changes to the Registered Manager. We encourage clients to remain as independent as possible while ensuring their wellbeing is supported and safeguarded.
Responsibilities
- Support vulnerable adults in their own homes.
- Provide personal care (washing, toileting, dressing) and domestic household tasks.
- Assist with meal preparation, medication, mobility aids, and personal equipment.
- Monitor overall wellbeing and report any significant changes to the Registered Manager.
- Encourage independence while ensuring safety.
- Work full‑time and part‑time shifts (typical shifts from 7 am–2 pm and/or 4 pm–10 pm).
- Work alternate weekends as required.
