An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand new children’s residential home supporting young people aged 7–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is a unique opportunity to build a service from the ground up, shape the culture, and create a high quality, therapeutic environment focused on positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager
- Lead, manage, and develop a high performing staff team
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations
- Deliver high quality, child centred care and support
- Develop and oversee individualised care plans
- Manage budgets and resources effectively
- Build strong relationships with external professionals and stakeholders
- Lead a therapeutic and relational approach to care
- Review and match referrals appropriately
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
- Experience supporting young people with EBD
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted and regulatory frameworks
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience opening or developing a new children’s home
