About the Role
Not every home is built the same. This one is genuinely therapeutic, built around the child as an individual, not just a placement. They take the time to get to the heart of each child’s needs, not just manage behaviours, offering a truly tailored approach to care. The service is led by a Director with a strong therapeutic background, alongside a clinical team, meaning the model is not just talked about, it is lived day to day. We are supporting a provider to launch a new children’s home for young people with EBD and mental health needs. Strong clinical support, DDP and PACE model, and leadership that understands culture and consistency. This is your chance to build a home properly from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager
- Lead, develop and support a high performing staff team
- Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations
- Deliver high quality, child centred care
- Develop and review individual care plans
- Manage budgets and resources effectively
- Build strong relationships with external professionals and stakeholders
- Oversee placement matching within a dual occupancy home
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Manager
- Experience working with children with EBD
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Full UK driving licence
