A well respected secondary school in Wood Green is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join their internal provision and behaviour team on a full time, long term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people who may struggle within mainstream lessons and need additional guidance, structure and intervention. The school is looking for someone calm, resilient and confident managing behaviour, building relationships and supporting students both academically and emotionally.
The role:
- Supporting students within the school’s internal provision
- Working with students removed from lessons due to behaviour or wellbeing needs
- Managing behaviour in line with school policies
- Building positive relationships with students and staff
- Supporting reintegration back into mainstream classes
- Working closely with pastoral, safeguarding and SEN teams
- Providing mentoring, intervention and emotional support

- Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour experience
- PRU or alternative provision experience
- SEN / SEMH background
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people in schools or similar settings
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Calm and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS
- Ability to build rapport quickly with students
