A growing supported accommodation provider in Lewisham is looking for experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join their team supporting adults with mental health needs, emotional wellbeing challenges and complex backgrounds. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is calm, resilient and genuinely passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
The role will involve:
- Supporting residents within supported accommodation settings
- Promoting independence, life skills and community engagement
- Building positive and professional relationships with residents
- Supporting with appointments, routines and emotional wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate daily records and incident reports
- Working alongside external professionals and support networks
- Managing challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
Ideal candidates will have experience with:
- Mental health support
- Supported accommodation or supported living
- Challenging behaviour
- Substance misuse or complex needs
- Homelessness or vulnerable adults services
- Trauma informed approaches
Requirements:
- Previous support work experience
- Enhanced DBS
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Reliable, professional and flexible approach
- Ability to work independently and within a team
