The role:

  • Deliver pre planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of teaching staff
  • Ensure students remain engaged, focused and on task throughout lessons
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
  • Maintain a calm, positive and purposeful learning environment
  • Take responsibility for classroom organisation and student conduct
  • Support students with questions relating to lesson activities and instructions
  • Monitor attendance and accurately record lesson outcomes
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress, behaviour and engagement
  • Support students with additional needs where appropriate
  • Supervise students during transitions and other school activities when required
  • Build positive and professional relationships with students and colleagues
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote student wellbeing at all times

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive and professional approach to behaviour management
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is happy to apply for a new DBS
