CANDL Recruitment are supporting an EBD children’s residential home in Chesterfield seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to provide strong leadership, stability and operational oversight during a key period for the service. This role requires an experienced manager who understands the realities of working within EBD settings, can confidently lead teams through challenges and create a stable, therapeutic environment for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. You will play a key role in supporting the home’s standards, culture and compliance while ensuring young people receive consistent, high quality care and support.

The Role

  • Oversee the day to day management of the home
  • Lead and support the staff team within a fast paced EBD environment
  • Drive safeguarding, compliance and Ofsted readiness
  • Support behaviour management strategies and therapeutic approaches
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments and recordings are maintained to a high standard
  • Support staffing, rotas and overall operational stability
  • Work closely with senior leadership to strengthen the service

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
  • Strong EBD experience essential
  • Good understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and SCCIF
  • Confident managing safeguarding, incidents and staff performance
  • Level 5 Leadership & Management preferred
  • Calm, resilient and hands on leadership approach
  • Available to start at short notice desirable
