We are looking for a Recruitment & Retention Lead Midwife to support our Newly Qualified, International Midwives and new member of staff joining our friendly and vibrant team.
You will ensure that they feel supported and are able to thrive within their working environment. You will be responsible for co-ordinating, planning and implementing orientation programmes as well as and additional support plans that may be required.
This is permanent post for part time- 18.75 hours per week.
- To be up to date with the preceptor programme of support and education and to understand the assessment process for post registration practitioners
- Work with senior staff and assessors to ensure all learners and newly qualified practitioners receive a robust induction and orientation to placement areas.
- To work in collaboration with the Head of Education: Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals and the Clinical Education Support Team to ensure a consistent approach to post-registration education across the trust.
- To contribute to the development of policies and guidelines applicable to the placements of post-registration preceptor practitioners and B5 RNs working within maternity.
- To provide leadership for all members of the Midwifery and Non-Midwifery team acting as a role model leading and promoting appropriate midwifery care.
