We are inviting applications for a full‑time Specialty Doctor in Oral Surgery. The post holder will have clinical sessions at both sites, as this is a cross‑site working position. The appointee will be required to take up the post as soon as possible but no later than 3 months from the date of the offer of an appointment, unless otherwise agreed.

The successful applicant will be expected to participate actively in the diagnosis, management and follow‑up of patients. The main role for the right candidate would be to run oral surgery consultation clinics, conduct minor operation sessions under local anaesthetic independently, and assist the department consultant and other clinicians with a variety of specialised oral surgery procedures in the general anaesthetic theatre sessions. We have a dedicated oral surgery department nurse, as well as outpatient nurses who assist in the clinics and minor operations.

We pride ourselves on supporting our staff with a wide range of training and development opportunities, flexible working options, a generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments (where applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata) and access to a range of NHS discounts. Our Staff Health and Wellbeing programme offers a variety of services. Our philosophy is that Time Matters to everyone. Across the Trust, we concentrate on improving the things we do and removing those which cause time delays for our staff and patients. We have invested in our commitment to Time Matters with a partnership with leading electronic patient record (EPR) supplier Epic. This digital transformation has brought what is widely regarded as the world's best EPR system to ESNEFT, transforming life in hospital for staff and patients.
