Job Summary

We seek Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioners to join our Theatre Recovery team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust’s brand‑new State‑of‑the‑Art specialist centre for elective orthopaedics at Colchester Hospital. You will deliver high quality, patient‑focused care and support continual professional development in a clean, safe, forward‑thinking environment.

Main Duties

• Provide clinically effective, individualized post‑operative patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver patient care through the post‑operative pathway.
• Promote a safe and attractive working environment conducive to learning.
• Contribute to the development of post‑operative and professional practice ensuring evidence‑based care.
• Support clinical governance integration into all aspects of patient care delivery.

Sector Information

• Band: 5
• Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per annum
• Contract: Permanent
• Working pattern: Full‑time and Part‑time

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Registered Nurse (Adult or Adult/ODP) status.
• Experience working within a team.
• Knowledge of the clinical role of a nurse/ODP within a post‑operative team.
• Evidence of continued professional development plans.

Desirable

• Previous post‑operative experience.
• DipHE (or progress towards one).
