A long-established, family run business specialising in overnight, national, temperature-controlled deliveries of fresh produce to wholesale fruit and vegetable markets and other outlets is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor in Dartford.
As Warehouse Supervisor you will:
- Assist the Manager with running of all warehouse operations efficiently and successfully.
- Manage and monitor warehouse activities including but not limited to receiving, putting away consolidation, picking, loading while ensuring continuity, productivity and efficiency of all activity.
- Direct, coordinate and monitor the daily activities & performance of warehouse workers to assure compliance of standard procedure, quality and safety.
- Assure quality performance through proper staffing, effective communication and training.
- Be responsible for the ownership of agency labour requirement and resource forecasting.
- Continuously review procedures and recommend and/or modify operational structure to create a more efficient and productive operation.
- Monitor departmental expenses and will be required to submit your labour cost on a weekly basis and be able to explain variations from target.
- Enforce all policy and procedures, including safety and housekeeping, in an effective and appropriate manner.
