Global manufacturer is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Warehouse Manager to join their ever-growing team, supplying their portfolio of over 33,000 products to their customers. You will be providing a streamlined and efficient service within the UK operation, to enable stringent delivery timeframes are met.

Their ideal candidate is an outstanding communicator and problem solver, being able to recognise the needs of staff within the warehouse and adapt to situations that arise.

THE ROLE:

  1. Ensure that all incoming and outgoing goods are of the required company standards
  2. Maintaining local inventory in excess of 2000 articles
  3. Managing Performance and process management of warehousing staff establishing efficiency in all areas
  4. Oversee daily warehousing and logistical operations
  5. Train and manage a warehouse team, solving day-to-day operational issues to reach performance goals
  6. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing local standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  7. Maintain period testing and servicing of plant and equipment
  8. Reviewing and maintenance of local policies and contracts, such as risk assessments and freight contracts etc.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  1. Knowledge and experience of team management
  2. Great communication skills, including contacting customers and suppliers if required
  3. Ability to work at a fast pace whilst being adaptive, positive and effective
  4. Highly organised with excellent problem-solving skills
  5. Ability to work with all levels of company staff
  6. Computer literate, including a high degree of Microsoft Office knowledge
  7. Commitment to gain counterbalance and reach fork licenses
  8. HASWA, PPE, COSHH and PUWER knowledge
  9. Proficiency in warehouse management systems

Desirable:

  1. SAP experience
  2. Full clean UK driving licence
