Do you LOVE coffee?! Join us at one of our premium flagship London locations! A well-established business is looking for a passionate Barista to educate customers on brand, product and drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. You will be working 42 hours per week on a flexible rota, with some weekends. In return, you will receive a salary of £26,000 per annum, plus a bonus scheme, a share of tips, company events, a pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, discounted or free foods, a health & wellbeing programme, life insurance, private dental and medical insurance and sick pay.
To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of all things coffee and coffee machines. Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.
As Barista, your key responsibilities and activities will include:
- To maintain excellent customer relations and to constantly strive to improve customer service
- To operate cash registers, preparation and/or service of food and beverages
- To complete daily cleaning schedules and carry out other cleaning duties as required
- All work to be carried out with a customer focused attitude, providing excellent customer service with a proactive work ethic
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding the coffee, brand and ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare beverages following recipes & serve beverages and prepared food for serving
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keep the bar area clean & maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
- Check if brewing / machine equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
