A global specialist in the design and manufacture of high-temperature metal seals for aerospace, automotive and power generation sectors are seeking a Production Engineering Team Leader to join their team to drive the next phase of development and growth.
As Production Engineering Team Leader, you will lead and mentor members of the Production Engineering team, ensuring on-time and on-cost NPI tooling launches, driving improvements in methodology and process, as well as day-to-day resource management and providing technical support/coverage for both your team and the wider business. As a key member of the team, responsible for liaising with stakeholders across the business, you will need to be hands-on, technical, detail oriented and a great team-worker.
What you’ll do as Production Engineering Team Leader:

Management, development and mentoring of your team
-
Planning and leading tooling design/tooling manufacture/product/process delivery

Ensuring quality and HSE compliance, accurate data capture and analysis
-
Ensuring KPI’s are consistently delivered within target times and costs
-
Reviewing and improving processes within the department and across the wider business
-
Supporting the introduction of new equipment/machinery into the business, both externally purchased, and manufactured in-house

Providing holiday/sickness/etc. coverage of day-to-day activities within the department, such as tool design, CNC machining and product manufacture
To be successful in this role you will have proven skills and experience in the following:

Proven experience in building, motivating and leading teams and supporting their development

Proven ability to deliver and develop departmental goals and KPI’s, quality performance, process improvement and standardisation

Knowledge of the latest manufacturing technology, tools and process best practice

Knowledge and application of planning and organising, problem solving and decision making

The ability to read, interpret, communicate and generate engineering and process documents
