A business that has been formed to deliver critical projects to ensure smooth trade between the UK and EU post Brexit is looking for a Customs Shift Leader to join the team in Worksop. You will be responsible for ensuring that customer declarations are completed on time and in full to allow goods to move.
You will receive a salary of Β£27,000 - Β£31,000 per annum, along with a range of benefits including 29 daysβ holiday (including Bank Holidays) and a pension scheme.
Shifts:
- Shift patterns will either be: 4x4 off β 09:30-20:00 OR 2-week rotation β 06:00-14:30 / 13:00-21:30
- They also have 2x rotas that are: Monday-Thursday / Tuesday-Saturday.
- You will be contracted to either 4x4 off OR full flex between 06:00-22:00, Monday-Sunday.
As Customs Shift Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and completing customs entries for import and export
- Accurately entering data
- Responding to customs queries, including commodity codes, duty rates, licences and documentation.
- Calculating duty and VAT
- Maintaining compliance with current and evolving legislation and customs procedures
- Ensuring the shift is adequately staffed
- Developing and assigning tasks to staff members, overseeing completion of tasks
- Creating development opportunities for experienced staff members
- Monitoring team and capturing performance data to develop staff members
- Ensuring changes to documents are communicated effectively to the team to ensure updates are applied and relevant documents are signed and consolidated.
