Waste, Medical Devices Lead and Health and Safety Administrator to support the safe and compliant management of medical devices, waste services, and health and safety processes across the hospital and clinic.
This is a varied role working closely with clinical teams, Heads of Department, estates, suppliers, contractors and senior leaders to ensure equipment, waste and safety standards are maintained in line with Spire policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for biomedical equipment servicing, repairs, asset records, loan equipment and equipment disposal.
- Ensure all new and existing medical devices are correctly recorded, asset tagged, maintained and covered by appropriate service arrangements.
- Support clinical departments and Medical Device Leads with compliance, documentation and equipment management processes.
- Coordinate waste management across the site, including segregation, storage, daily checks, audits, incident reporting and contractor documentation.
- Support waste management, carbon reduction and recycling initiatives.
- Assist with health and safety administration, including action trackers, incident trends, meeting minutes, AMa T audits and mandatory training compliance.
- Support DSE requirements, risk assessments, e-learning monitoring and related action plans.
- Provide guidance, training and communication to colleagues on waste, safety and compliance requirements.
About You
You will be self-motivated, organised and confident working with a range of stakeholders.
You will have strong communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Essential Requirements
- Good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience in healthcare or a similar customer-focused environment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organisational, communication and team working skills.
- Understanding of health, safety, risk or compliance processes.
Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely or other health and safety qualification.
- DSE risk assessment qualification.
- Previous administration experience.
- Knowledge of SAP or hospital systems.
