Spire Norwich Hospital are looking for an experienced Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Physiotherapy department on a bank, flexible working basis.

The physiotherapy assistant will assist the multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary physiotherapy care within the physiotherapy department and on the wards.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Undertake routine tasks related to individual’s health and wellbeing.
  • Assess the health and wellbeing needs of people whose needs are relatively stable and consistent.
  • Establish and maintain communication with people on routine care matters.
  • Develop own personal development.
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety and security for self and others.
  • Contribute to the implementation of services.
  • Ensure own actions promote quality.
  • Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights.
  • Collect, collate and report routine and simple data and information
  • Assist in the application of technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
  • Who we're looking for
  • Understand a range of physiotherapy assistant tasks requiring job training and a period of induction.
  • Previous experience in a health and/or social environment or hold an appropriate qualification eg. NVQ
  • Good command of English Language and Basic Maths (GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English)
  • IT literate
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • The ability to adapt to changes in work routine
