We are committed to tackling health inequalities, supporting thriving communities, and building a healthier future for everyone who lives, works, and studies in the borough.
If you are a strategic public health leader with the vision, expertise, and passion to make a real difference, we would love to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking Public Health team. The successful postholder will have strategic and operational leadership responsibility for a diverse portfolio of public health priorities including health improvement (adults), mental health, research, and Health in all Policies. The successful candidate will work across directorates and partner organisations to embed health improvement principles into policy and practice, champion preventative approaches, address structural inequalities, and ensure that health and wellbeing considerations are integrated into decision-making across the wider determinants of health.
They will provide visible system leadership, foster innovation through research and community engagement, and drive collaborative action to improve outcomes for Croydon's diverse communities, with a particular focus on reducing health inequalities and promoting equitable access to opportunities for good health.
