We have an opportunity for an Administrator to join their team of staff. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad‑hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To ensure an exemplary level of administration support and customer service to all patients, consultants, GPs and hospital staff that meets and strives to exceed all of our customer’s expectations.
  • To present a high standard of personal appearance together with total confidentiality in every aspect of work at all times.
  • To provide information to patients, consultants and other relevant departments in a timely and courteous manner.
  • To provide an efficient imaging administration service within the hospital utilising all necessary hospital IT programs while operating within established policies and procedures.

Who we're looking for:

  • Educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable but not essential.
  • A knowledge of medical terminology is desirable but not essential, along with a working knowledge of SAP or a similar patient booking system.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and produce and maintain accurate records.
  • Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent keyboard skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
