Spire Harpenden Hospital are now recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse to join our warm and friendly team in Outpatients on the bank. Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

Duties and responsibilities

  • The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures, you will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs.
  • You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect, collate and organise data, interpret all the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.
  • Responsible for providing a range of support services to the Nurses and Consultants during procedures including maintenance of quality care delivery.
  • Work as a part of a team assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.

Who we're looking for

  • Be NMC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions.
  • Compassionate and able to showcase excellent patient care.
  • Able to lead clinics.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to carry out wound dressings.
  • Phlebotomy skills.
  • Experience within an outpatient setting would be preferable.
  • Early recognition of clinical problems and report or take appropriate action.
