Job Overview
Retail Store Assistant – Permanent Part‑time, 15hours per week, based in Uckfield shop. Salary £12.71 per hour plus benefits. Reports to the shop manager. Key responsibilities include delivering excellent customer support, driving sales and fundraising targets, maintaining shop standards, building community relationships, and supporting store fundraising events. Also requires keyholder duties and manual handling as required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer and supporter service.
- Assist the shop team to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
- Maintain shop standards – visual presentation, safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
- Build relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
- Support fundraising events for the store.
- Take keyholder responsibility as required (training provided).
- Perform manual handling and other physical duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Understanding of what makes great customer service.
- Experience working in a busy customer‑service environment.
- Ability to manage workload and work independently.
- Team‑player with excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis as required.
