Cancer Research UK (CRUK) are looking for a Clinical Data Manager to join our team within our Centre for Drug Development (CDD) on a 24 month fixed term contract. CDD is the sponsor of early phase and precision medicine clinical trials in oncology agents. Our broad portfolio rivals that of a medium-sized pharmaceutical company, spanning antibodies, cell therapies, vaccines, drug conjugates and small molecules, making this an interesting and dynamic area to work in. It is an exciting time for CDD as we’re expanding our teams to move forward with an ambitious new strategy to maximise the impact of our research to benefit patients. Several teams are hiring new roles to make this new strategy a reality, expanding the size of our project portfolio and bringing in new skills as we work more internationally.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Clinical Data Manager, with a keen interest in the field of Oncology, to join a small team made up of 8 Data Management professionals. This will allow you to work on DETERMINE, our multi-drug, precision medicine platform trial in rare cancers, recruiting both adults and children.
- Lead the data management of assigned arms of the DETERMINE trial.
- Review the clinical trial data ensuring that data cleaning is managed effectively and efficiently, highlighting any issues that may affect data quality.
- Manage the development or amendment of clinical trial databases, reviewing eCRFs, specifying edit checks and performing validation.
- Facilitate the reporting of the data by managing the specification and validation of data listings and tables, coding adverse event terms and reconciling serious adverse events.
- Monitor the status of data entry and data cleaning, locking data when appropriate to protect data integrity.
- Work to achieve key performance indicators and project goals.
You will be a biomedical science graduate, hold a nursing qualification or have equivalent relevant experience. Proven knowledge and understanding of clinical data management and drug development, working to ICH/GCP and relevant legislation. Good knowledge and previous use of an electronic data capture (EDC) clinical trial database. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail whilst retaining sight of the bigger picture. Good planning and organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple competing tasks whilst working to challenging timelines. In addition, experience of working on oncology trials would be desirable.
