At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer. We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded marketing professional to join our Individual Giving team as a Product Marketing Senior Executive. The Individual Giving team sits within our Marketing and Digital department and is responsible for driving support across six key income generating products. Our largest focus is regular giving, which represents the charity’s second largest source of income and plays a vital role in funding Cancer Research UK’s life saving work.
As a Product Marketing Senior Executive, you will lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of a wide range of integrated marketing campaigns. This is a varied and fast paced role, offering the opportunity to work across multiple products and channels, from paid social and PPC to email, direct mail, telemarketing, out-of-home advertising and display. You don’t need to have experience across all mentioned channels, but we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a variety of channel experience, as well as strong stakeholder management skills as you will be working closely with internal specialists and external agencies.
You’ll use audience insight, performance data and marketing best practice to deliver compelling campaigns that acquire, engage and retain supporters. From campaign planning through to post-campaign analysis and reporting, you’ll play a key role in driving growth and maximising income for the charity.
What will I be doing?
- Lead on the delivery of campaign set up, development and launch across multiple channels (including ALT digital channels, direct mail, email, social) working closely with agencies and multiple delivery teams across the organisation to deliver on time and within budget.
- Translate cross-channel integrated briefs into production specific briefs, leading on the delivery of data and digital campaign set-up requirements in collaboration with Data Selections, Adobe, Web Analyst, Social and Marketing Delivery teams.
- Take responsibility for the content and creative production process, working with agencies, freelancers and in-house Creative Team to develop compelling creative across a range of channels.
- Solution-driven with the ability to think quickly and has a problem solving attitude when faced with campaign challenges.
- Lead on in-campaign reporting and post-campaign analysis, sharing recommendations for optimisation and to improve the effectiveness of future campaigns with the Product Marketing Manager and key stakeholders.
- Work with UX experts to devise pre-launch test and learn initiatives, using results to recommend areas for optimisation.
- With Marketing Executive support, lead on all aspects of campaign delivery including direct mail production and new supporter letter fulfilment.
- Keep marketing activity plan up to date and ensure upcoming campaigns and activity are being briefed in to the correct teams in advance taking into account team SLAs.
- Work collaboratively with teams across Fundraising & Marketing to share learnings and best practice.
What are we looking for?
- Relevant experience of delivering multi-channel campaigns, from planning through to execution and analysis, that meet campaign KPIs (experience working paid social and display will be beneficial).
- Good understanding of end-to-end supporter or customer journeys and the role of different channels in fully integrated campaigns.
- Experience of managing and motivating agencies to drive maximum value from relationships.
- Commercially aware and experience working within budgets.
- Data-driven with a good understanding of UX principles and experience of interpreting results and recommending opportunities for optimisation.
- Experience of developing highly effective campaign assets for use across channels.
- Experience of building positive working relationships and working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of managing own workload, meeting deadlines and effectively handling changing priorities.
