Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 per week

Location: London Stratford (Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

As Senior Content Strategy Manager, you'll lead a talented team and drive the strategies, standards and innovations that help millions of people access trusted cancer information. Working across design, SEO, UX and technology, you'll champion user-centred content, build organisational capability and unlock opportunities in AI, personalisation and structured content. Your leadership will help embed content design as a key discipline and drive more effective, accessible and impactful digital experiences.

What will I be doing?

  • Lead, develop and inspire a team of content designers, building capability and supporting individual growth

  • Define and deliver an audience-led content strategy aligned to organisational priorities and user needs

  • Shape and evolve CRUK’s content model, enabling scalable, reusable and personalised content across channels

  • Establish and embed content standards, governance and best practice across the organisation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX, SEO, technology) to deliver high-quality, user-centred digital experiences

  • Use data, insight and experimentation—including emerging technologies like AI—to continuously improve content performance

What are we looking for?

  • Strong experience leading content design or content strategy teams, with a focus on development and capability building

  • Proven ability to deliver content strategy at scale, grounded in user needs, insight and performance data

  • Deep understanding of content design as a discipline Experience working with headless CMS platforms (we use Contentful) and structured content models

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively across multidisciplinary digital teams

  • Experience applying data, experimentation or AI to improve digital content and user experience
