At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer. As our Organisational Capability Change Lead, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering one of the ten strategic change objectives at the heart of our next three-year plan. This programme will strengthen the organisational foundations CRUK needs to deliver its heightened ambition - building the culture, leadership and ways of working that will help us move with greater pace, clarity, and innovation.
Working at the intersection of organisational development, culture and change, you'll support the design and steer of a people centred programme that addresses the cultural, behavioural and structural conditions needed for high performance. You'll influence widely, bringing people together across functions, aligning priorities, and inspiring action - often without direct authority.
What will I be doing?
- Shape the programme and outcomes - Translate the Organisational Capability ambition into a clear, outcome focused programme across three interconnected areas:
- High Performance - embedding a culture, systems and expectations that drive excellence and accountability.
- Leadership & Capabilities - ensuring CRUK has the mindsets, skills and capacity to deliver our new 3-Year Plan.
- Ways of Working - strengthening collaboration, decision-making and cross team working.
What are you looking for?
We'd love to hear from you if you bring:
- Significant experience in organisational development, transformation or strategic change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Deep understanding of cultural and behavioural change - and how to build conditions that unlock performance and collaboration at scale.
- A strong track record of influencing without authority and aligning diverse stakeholders around shared outcomes.
- Expertise in change strategy, sequencing and organisational readiness.
- Confidence facilitating cross functional collaboration and creating clarity where it's needed most.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- A systems thinking mindset, able to spot patterns, connections and leverage points.
- Resilience, adaptability and comfort navigating ambiguity - matched with curiosity, energy and a collaborative spirit.
Our organisation values are designed to guide all that we do:
- Bold: Act with ambition, courage and determination
- Credible: Act with rigour and professionalism
- Human: Act to have a positive impact on people
- Together: Act inclusively and collaboratively
We're looking for people who can believe in and embody these organisation values and can use them to drive forward progress against our mission to beat cancer.
If you're interested in applying and excited about working with us but are unsure if you have the right skills and experience we'd still love to hear from you.
