Reports to: Email and SMS Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement

Contract: 12 month fixed-term contract

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week (Open to flexible working requests such as compressed hours or 4 day weeks)

Location: Stratford, London Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

Due to an internal move, we are looking for an experienced Email and SMS marketing professional, looking for their next challenge. You'll use your experience to broadcast email marketing campaigns using Adobe Campaign Manager, alongside providing support to marketers across the organisation to deliver their own email marketing campaigns using the tool. This is an exciting opportunity to get to grips with a world-renowned multi-channel marketing platform.

What will I be doing?

  • Deliver email and SMS marketing campaign plans to time, budget and against agreed KPIs with the support of the Email & SMS Marketing Executives
  • Plan and build automated workflows which effectively deliver against marketing plans, Audience & Product objectives, and place supporters at their heart
  • Lead on the delivery of data and digital campaign set-up requirements that ensure optimal targeting and tracking in collaboration with Data Selections and Web Analyst experts
  • Work with UX experts to devise pre-launch test and learn initiatives, using results to recommend areas for optimisation
  • Be a channel expert for email and SMS delivery, maximising the potential of Adobe to execute timely, relevant and personalised communications that result in high levels of audience engagement
  • Work collaboratively with other Digital Marketing & Delivery teams to execute campaigns effectively and efficiently, taking a holistic view of cross-channel activity
  • Take a future-facing view of digital marketing trends and developments to ensure Cancer Research UK's email and SMS communications stay ahead of the curve, making recommendations to automate to gain efficiencies
  • Lead on in-campaign reporting and post-campaign analysis, sharing recommendations for optimisation and to improve the effectiveness of future campaigns with key stakeholders
  • Mentor the Email & SMS Marketing Executives, guiding and upskilling them
  • Work collaboratively with teams across Fundraising & Marketing to share learnings and best practice

What skills will I need?

  • Relevant experience of delivering email and SMS marketing campaigns, from planning through to execution and analysis
  • Experience of using Adobe Campaign or similar technology to deliver and automate campaigns, and knowledge of HTML
  • Experience of planning personalised email and SMS journeys for different audience segments
  • Passionate about digital marketing with a good knowledge of the latest trends
  • Data-driven with an understanding of UX principles and experience of interpreting results and recommending opportunities for optimisation
  • Experience of building positive working relationships and working effectively as part of a team
  • Experience of managing own workload, meeting deadlines and effectively handling changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
