LEGACY MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE
Salary: £26,500 per annum
Reports to: Legacy Management Team Leader (Friends & Family)
Department: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement
Location: Stratford w/ high-flex (1 – 2 days per week in the office) or home-based anywhere in the UK
Employment type: Fixed-term contract until May 2026
Working hours: 35 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Legacy Management Executive. Through entry-level Legacy Management case-work and relationship engagement opportunities, you'll support the delivery of the strategy, building first-class professional partnerships and relationships in relation to Legacy giving. Further to this, you'll build and manage effective relationships by engaging the audience involved in administering the estate; sharing with them the work of Cancer Research UK and the impact of legacy giving and extending these relationships where appropriate and under guidance.
What will I be doing?
- Managing a caseload of fixed sum legacies. Corresponding with the executor/administrator and ensuring payment of the legacy is made in accordance with the Will.
- Progressing to managing a small caseload of residuary and trust cases as skills and experience are developed
- Engaging with the family and friends of the deceased to thank and acknowledge the legacy and to provide information about the impact of the legacy
- Promoting the team within Cancer Research UK, including reporting and sharing interesting legacy stories
- Undertaking additional activities to support the overall Legacy Strategy and improve how the team works
- Adhering to CRUKs Data Protection and Financial policies
- Engaging with legacy professionals to support the implementation of the Legacy Professionals Strategy, creating a positive view of Cancer Research UK and the legacy charity sector more generally.
