  • Developing scripts (Python, Jupyter-notebook) and cheminformatics workflows

  • Analysis of data from literature and publicly available databases

  • Provide verbal and written reports/presentations when required

  • Maintain laboratory notebooks and other data to required standards

  • Interact with colleagues in all areas of CRH-TI and provide help and assistance wherever possible

  • Participate in, and report to, departmental group meetings when required

  • Show appreciation of the scientific rationale

  • Contribute to the development of innovative technologies

If your application is short listed, you will be invited to attend an Interview (likely to be virtual). This will involve some exercises designed to assess your ability and a competency interview.

If you’re a motivated chemistry student, with an interest in oncology drug discovery, then this is your opportunity to gain valuable experience working within the pharmaceutical sector.

We expect you to have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, good teamwork skills, a keen eye for detail, good time management skills and a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages., * Studying for a chemistry/computer science/ or similar degree (BSc/MSc/MSci/MChem) having successfully completed at least 2 years of study by August 2025

  • Please note that applications from graduates and PhD students will NOT be considered for this scheme.

  • Some experience of programming, ideally in Python

  • Understanding of chemical concepts such as molecules, interactions and bonds

  • You should be able to commence work in August / September 2025 (the start date is negotiable).

  • You should have the right to live and work in the UK without restriction.
