You will act as the store manager and ambassador for Cancer Research UK, fostering a welcoming environment where community members can meet our people, learn about our mission, and support our research.
Responsibilities
- Guide, inspire and engage a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention and development.
- Take ownership of the store’s commercial operations: display, merchandising, stock management, shop standards, layout, sales and income.
- Lead by example, providing excellent customer and supporter service.
- Maximise profit through effective cost control and sales.
- Build relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
- Organise and run creative fundraising events to achieve targeted outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.
- Perform manual handling and other physical tasks as required.
