Our shop is part of a national shop‑closure programme and will close within the next 12 months. We are still welcoming volunteers to help raise vital funds for cancer research during the shop’s remaining operations. Please speak directly with the Shop Manager for the exact closure timeline.
About the role
Our shops raise millions of pounds each year to fund life‑saving cancer research. By volunteering, you’ll join a community of people passionate about beating cancer. What you’ll be doing
- Greeting customers and offering a friendly, helpful service
- Identifying quality items that could sell for a good price, helping to raise more money
- Creating eye‑catching window displays and maintaining shop appearance
- Assisting at the till by taking payments and encouraging customers to donate through Gift Aid or round‑up options
- Participating in team activities to fundraise for campaigns such as Stand Up To Cancer

Eligibility and requirements
- The minimum age for volunteering is 18. If you are 16–17 you may volunteer under a recognised scheme such as school‑run work experience.
- Applicants must live in the UK and disclose any unspent criminal convictions in confidence.
Where and when
Shops and superstores are located across the UK, from high‑street stores to retail park locations. Volunteer hours are flexible – whether you can give a few hours a week or a few days, your manager will organise shifts that fit your schedule.
Support and training
We will provide a full induction and offer ongoing training to ensure you feel confident in your role. Your manager may also reimburse reasonable travel and other out‑of‑pocket expenses, as agreed in advance.
