As Senior Content Strategy Manager, you'll lead a talented team and drive the strategies, standards and innovations that help millions of people access trusted cancer information. Working across design, SEO, UX and technology, you'll champion user‑centred content, build organisational capability and unlock opportunities in AI, personalisation and structured content. Your leadership will help embed content design as a key discipline and drive more effective, accessible and impactful digital experiences.
What will I be doing?
- Lead, develop and inspire a team of content designers, building capability and supporting individual growth
- Define and deliver an audience‑led content strategy aligned to organisational priorities and user needs
- Shape and evolve CRUK’s content model, enabling scalable, reusable and personalised content across channels
- Establish and embed content standards, governance and best practice across the organisation
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (UX, SEO, technology) to deliver high‑quality, user‑centred digital experiences
- Use data, insight and experimentation—including emerging technologies like AI—to continuously improve content performance
What are we looking for?
- Strong experience leading content design or content strategy teams, with a focus on development and capability building
- Proven ability to deliver content strategy at scale, grounded in user needs, insight and performance data
- Deep understanding of content design as a discipline
- Experience working with headless CMS platforms (we use Contentful) and structured content models
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively across multidisciplinary digital teams
- Experience applying data, experimentation or AI to improve digital content and user experience
