Retail Store Assistant

Location: Isle of Sheppey Superstore
Reports to: Shop Manager
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: Part time 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £12.71 per hour plus benefits
Closing date: Wednesday 15th July 2026

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
  • Working as an integral part of the shop team to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
  • Assisting with maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance, and health and safety.
  • Creating relationships with local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
  • Supporting fundraising events for the store to reach fundraising targets.
  • Taking keyholder responsibility as required (training provided).
  • Performing varied manual handling and physical activity within daily duties.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of what makes great customer service.
  • Experience working in a busy customer service environment.
  • Ability to manage own workload and work independently.
  • Capability to work well in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a rota basis.
