Retail Store Manager £27,336 - £32,067 per annum plus benefits.

Reports to: Area manager.

Department: Trading.

Contract: Permanent.

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week.

Location: St Annes Shop.

Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Guide, inspire and engage a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention and development of a diverse shop team.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the commercial running of the store including display and merchandising, stock management, maintaining shop standards and layout, sales and income.
  • Lead by example and provide excellent customer and supporter service.
  • Maximise profit through effective cost control and sales.
  • Create relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
  • Organise and run creative fundraising events for the store to achieve fundraising targets.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.
  • Perform manual handling and physical activity as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience of managing and inspiring a diverse team of people.
  • Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve those targets.
  • The ability to multi‑task in a lively environment.
  • Working knowledge of what makes great customer service.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of high street fashion retail.
