About the role
At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer. We’re looking for an Email & SMS Marketing Executive to join Cancer Research UK on a fixed term basis and help deliver high-quality, impactful campaigns that bring our work to life and inspire action. This role supports the delivery of a wide range of email and SMS campaigns, working closely with marketing teams across the charity. You’ll help plan supporter journeys, optimise communications, review performance, analyse results, and use insights to improve future campaigns.
What you’ll be doing
- Working in a team of six to build and send email and SMS campaigns using Adobe Campaign
- Managing administrative tasks to ensure smooth running of the Email & SMS team processes, including user access for tools like Taxi for Email and Adobe Campaign
- Working with marketing teams to plan and deliver email and SMS marketing campaign plans on time
- Supporting the Email & SMS Marketing Senior Executives with larger email optimisation and delivery projects
- Working collaboratively with other Digital Marketing teams, such as Website and content teams, to ensure the whole supporter journey is optimised
- Gathering learnings of digital marketing trends or changes and implementing these at Cancer Research UK
- Supporting reporting and post-campaign analysis, sharing recommendations on how to improve future campaigns
What we’re looking for
- Interest and enthusiasm for Marketing and a desire to learn and develop skills in email and SMS Marketing
- Ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritise, manage conflicting deadlines, work well under pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- The ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively
- Experience of sending emails through an Email Marketing Platform
- Understanding of audience segmentation, personalisation, and UX principles and experience of interpreting results
- Experience of writing email content, running marketing campaigns, and subsequent campaign analysis
